Paint & Color

Is it necessary to use clear coat?

Updated 4 days ago

Yes, you need to apply clear coat over our paint for two reasons. The first is color match: the final color relies on the clear coat to match the factory finish. The second reason is due to chemical bond. The clear coat creates a chemical bond with the base color that increases the hardness. The application of clear coat is required to seal and protect the paint. Waterborne paint can easily be removed by wet sanding/polishing/washing/sanding until it has been clear coated to seal it.

The color code on my vehicle says LRC LKH, but on your web site all I can find is code LKH/1AB/2136. Is this the right color to choose?
